- Abstract
The article presents information on the civil right to counsel in case criminal defendants. A focus is on the need of proper interpretation of this right by the U.S. Supreme Court with reference to the trail of Gideon v. Wainwright based on the extension of the right to counsel. The rights for juveniles related to termination of parental rights proceeding along with recent legislative and judicial changes have been discussed.
