The article focuses on the aspects of fever in tropic regions including Asia and Africa concerning its symptoms, risk factors, and diagnosis. Topics discussed include aspects of scientific meetings regarding symptoms of diseases such as leptospirosis, dengue and Q fever, support of global health research funders for integrated work on diarrhea and lower respiratory infections to determine causes of fever, and aspects of non-malaria fever which includes bacterial, fungal and viral infections.
