- Abstract
The aim of this study was to develop new application areas of chicken feather keratin, decrease dyeing pollution, and to utilize the waste effectively. Wool top was modified with chicken feather protein auxiliary and reactive cationic crosslinking agent WLS made by ourselves, and dyeing ability of the modified fiber dyed with acid mordant dye was studied. Modifying technology was optimized. The optimum modifying technology was determined, and the dyeing ability of the modified wool top was evaluated. The results showed that the dyeing ability of the modified wool top dyed with acid mordant dyes was improved obviously, which not only obtained higher dye up-take, but also improved rub fastness.
