The author argues on the government policies made for restricting the consumers choice for preventing the epidemic of obesity in the U.S. The author discusses the role of the high body mass index (BMI) in obesity, concerns of the U.S. government regarding the dietary choices of the customers and the federal laws made for regulating the food and dietary choices of the citizens.
