The article explores the benefits of global software development (GSD) to business. It notes that GSD necessitates an increased number of managerial roles due to a tendency to replicate management roles. It mentions that the nature of GSD allows development work to be subdivided into individual modules. It states that GSD has the potential to facilitate access to a large pool of highly skilled workers.
