- Abstract
The insertion of young people into the labor market requires good perception of employability as an important feature. The present study shows the relationships between employability, emotional regulation, personal initiative, and life satisfaction in a group of university students of Human Communication. A total of 117 students were evaluated through an ad hoc developed questionnaire. Results revealed moderate and significant relationships between employability, harmony, improvement of negative emotions, situation change, reorientation of attention, and vital satisfaction. Findings lead to assume that students who perceive themselves as employable develop better in their area of interest and show solid labor-related convictions. In addition, they develop skills to handle negative emotions, thereby increasing their sense of vital satisfaction.
