As part of an integral review of the native species of the Calchaquí Valleys of Salta, Argentina, descriptions of Vachellia aroma, V. caven, and Parasenegalia visco are presented, along with a key for the species, comments about uses, and a list of representative specimens. In this study these genera segregated from Acacia s.l. are recognized and used for the first time for the Flora of Argentina.
