The article focuses on Chaoulli v. Quebec concerning health care access in Canada. Majority of the court ruled that Quebec's prohibition on private health insurance for medical services provided in Quebec's government health system violated the right to life and to personal security, inviolability and freedom set out in the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms of Quebec.
