Abstract
The article explores the similarities between the human brain and the Internet. Topics discussed include the ways on how the additive increase, multiplicative decrease (AIMD) algorithm is used in controlling information flow in the Internet, the development of the long-term potentiation algorithm to model how the human brain works and the ways in which the algorithms can help neuroscientists understand the workings of the brains of people who have learning disabilities.
