- Abstract
The article discusses the use of Takadimi rhythm syllables in a pedagogy for teaching rhythm according to the Kodaly Concept. Topics covered include the application of Hungarian Rhythm syllables, Takadimi syllables and numbers for counting to reading simple and compound meters, a strategy for teaching the dotted quarter and eighth note, and the Takadimi system's reflection of the durational values for rhythms.
