- Abstract
The article presents a conversation between mentor Christine Marmé Thompson and graduate student Marissa McClure on educational mentoring of graduate works. Christine from the Pennsylvania State University unveils that mentoring in graduate studies is one of the areas that she enjoys. Marissa from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona considers thesis writing easier than teaching. The mentor appreciates the commitment the graduate student has in pursuing her studies. Professor Thompson emphasizes that mentoring should be responsive, involved, and active. It reveals that good mentoring starts from oneself.
