- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 28-year-old woman with hypertension and newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes mellitus presented for pregnancy care. She has achieved excellent glycaemic control on a multidose insulin regimen and her antihypertensive medication was changed from irbesartan to methyldopa in preparation for conception. It adds that her subsequent pregnancy was complicated by pre-eclampsia at 365 weeks gestation.
