The article focuses on the aspects of the study of W. Zhang and colleagues regarding an approach for making nanowires from different and connected molecular building blocks of tubular sections. It says that the researchers built disc-shaped molecules with hydrocarbon chains and metal-binding site to achieve their aims. It also adds that the researchers excited the molecules from molecular self-assemblies using ultraviolet light.
