- Abstract
Urban life has undergone profound changes as a result of the losses caused by the pandemic of Covid 19, which according to WHO (World Health Organization) is a worldwide dissemination of the new coronavirus, putting us before a reflection on the challenges for our common future: What model of urban planning should we build, and how will people be able to appropriate public spaces and green areas of the city in a safe, inclusive and quality of life in this postpandemic period? The pandemic declared in 11/03/2020 called into question and stressed the importance of green areas and urban public spaces, in contrast to the social isolation to which we were all subjected, as the only "vaccine" available to prevent contamination. At the same time, this uncertain future leads us to questions and uncertainties about how to strengthen urban sustainability and the climatic crise in the lives of people across the planet. The retrospective of pandemics around the world, emphasizes the importance of green areas for urban and environmental quality in cities, with people's health as one of the main elements of concern. It will be necessary to propose changes in the physical space and in the way of using public spaces and green areas as a means of redefining urban life.
