- Authors
Rejman, Jerzy; Usowicz, Boguslaw
- Abstract
Presents results of soil-loss assessments on loess-derived silt soils. How the studies were conducted on plots of different length maintained in continuous bare fallow conditions; Analysis of runoff events; Description of the soil-erosion process in terms of maximum soil loss per unit area, and the effective distance of soil transport; Observations of soil loss using the Universal Soil Loss Equation; Results indicating that eroded soil material was transported short distances; Link between maximum soil loss per unit area and rainfall amount; Factors affecting distance of soil transport including rainfall amount.
