Humble's Education Grants for Year To Total $882,000.
- Abstract
The article reports that M. A. Wright, board chairman of the Humble Oil & Refining Co. (HORC), has announced that the subsidiaries of the HORC and the company's Humble Companies Foundation are contributing 882,000 dollars in education aid for the school year 1971 to 1972. The foundation has notified grants for 97 colleges and universities in the U.S. The HORC is among the participants in the Esso Education Foundation, through which other grants are made possible. The Humble Companies Foundation has also given its support to a series of College Leadership Institutes, through a program conducted by the National Leadership Institute, which is aimed towards teaching the psychology and dynamics of leadership to students, faculty and administrators from selected colleges.
