- Abstract
The article reports on developments related to teacher education in North Carolina. The School of Education of the University of North Carolina has established a program for training junior high school teachers. Upon enrollment, students are required to obtain certification requirement in either elementary grades or high school level. Meanwhile, the University of North Carolina has organized a cultural exchange with the Escuela Normal Superior in Mexico City. This collaboration includes exchange for similar materials like student newspapers, film strips, tape recordings and books from Mexico.
