- Title
Cancer Risks After Endometrial Cancer in Mismatch Repair Mutation Carriers.
- Authors
Lynch, Patrick M.
- Abstract
The article discusses the management of endometrial cancer risk in mismatch repair gene (MMR) mutation carriers. A study by A. K. Win et al. examined a cohort of women with endometrial cancer who have mutations in MMR genes responsible for hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer or Lynch syndrome (HNPCC/LS). The study identified risk of colorectal and other cancer as its endpoint. However, the study did not describe the diagnosis of endometrial cancer and the evaluation of its symptoms.
