- Abstract
The article discusses three interpretations of the wilderness setting in the Hagar cycle of biblical stories in Genesis in light of research on family conflict in the Bible. Topics include the identification of the two etiologies in which Hagar is associated with the wilderness, a comparison between Hagar and Moses, as well as a comparison of Hagar in Genesis and Exodus.
