The article argues for the correlation between narration and comedy in the book of Tobit and sees Tobit the narrator is an embodiment of the ludicrous. The author reviews interpretations of the book of Tobit by philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and author Stella Benson. Topics include the split-narration technique of the book of Tobit, with the story's many narrative points of view, and Tobit as an unreliable narrator.
