- Title
On the wire burst in water.

- Abstract
It is shown that, when a wire bursts in water, a large amount of heat being released causes thermal ionization of the reaction products with the formation of a dense plasma. Under such conditions, the system possesses an energy equal to, or higher than, that initially stored in the capacitor bank. The amount of this effect depends on the linear mass (mass per unit length) of the wire burst in water. The energy excess depends on the energy stored in the capacitor bank.
