- Abstract
This document provides an overview of the role of B cells and tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) in tumor immunity and immunotherapy. B cells have multiple functions in tumor-associated immunity, including presenting antigens, producing antibodies, and regulating immune responses. However, their impact on tumor progression can be both positive and negative. TLSs, which are organized immune cell structures within tumors, have been linked to better treatment outcomes. The document emphasizes the need for further research on TLS markers, the mechanisms behind TLS formation, and the diversity of TLSs. It also suggests that analyzing B cells and TLSs in tumor tissue could serve as biomarkers for predicting the effectiveness of immune checkpoint therapy and developing new immunotherapies.
