- Abstract
The author discusses a study which examined the effect of maternal high fat diet (HFD) on endocrine regulation in the offspring, by Franco and colleagues, published within the issue. The study showed that HFD consumption increases adrenal catecholamines and thyroid hormones, and affects endocrine regulation of the offspring. The author also cites the clinical significance of the study findings.
