- Abstract
The Hydrops-Yielding Diagnostic Results of Prenatal Sequencing (HYDROPS) study is an ongoing multicenter prospective series performing mother-father-fetus trio exome sequencing in cases of NIHF with a non-diagnostic standard workup. Non-immune hydrops fetalis (NIHF) is defined as the presence of abnormal fluid collection in at least two fetal compartments in the absence of red cell alloimmunization1. The creation of a national NIHF placental pathology registry would allow the diagnostic value of placental pathology in NIHF to be assessed in larger cohorts.
