- Abstract
The article discusses types of organizations that serve in the field of industrial relations that are not labor unions. Even though the number of unions has declined, institutions known as social movement organizations that provide services and representation for employees in ways similar to labor unions still exist. Two types of organizations that provide these services are specialized private agencies and state institutions. End-users, such as client and consumer organizations, also play a role in industrial relations.
