The article offers information on a research on removing amyloid-β and restoring memory in an Alzheimer's disease mouse model through scanning ultrasound. Topics discussed include use of repeated scanning ultrasound treatments of the mouse brain; revealing extensive internalization of amyloid-β into the lysosomes in spinning disk confocal microscopy and high-resolution three-dimensional reconstruction; and improved performance in novel object recognition test.
