- Abstract
To objectivise the evaluation of psychotherapy independently of modality or symptomatology a question naire, OQ 45,2 has been devised which upon repeated use can track changes in therapy and so evaluate the therapeutic process. In a preliminary application the reliability of the Slovene translation of the OQ 45,2 on a nonclinical (N = 121) and clinical (N = 25) sample has been tested. The one week retest reliability was checked using the Pearson product-moment correlation. Internal consistency was checked using the Cronbach alpha coefficient and concurrent validity was checked by correlating relevant tests: Symptom Checklist 90-R, SCL 90-R) (Derogatis, 1977), State Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI) (Spielberger, 1983), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) (Beck et a,11 1961), Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CESD) (Radloff, 1977). We found a good retest reliability of 0,83 for the nonclinical and 0,97 for the clinical sample. The internal consistency of the global scale and two of the three subscales was satisfactory. The third subscale Social Role in the nonclinical trial had insufficient internal consistency. All correlations are statistically significant so we can confirm the concurrent validity of the test. Future studies using larger samples are needed to establish Slovene norms and to raise the internal consistency of the subscale Social Role.
