- Abstract
Investigates the phylogenetic interrelationships in the enlarged order Ericales by jackknife analysis of a combination of DNA sequences from plastid and mitochondrial genes. Clade I, composed of Marcgraviaceae, Balsaminaceae, Tetrameristaceae and Pellicieraceae; Clade II, composed of Polemoniaceae and Fouquieriaceae; Clades III and IV, Ternstroemiaceae and Theaceae; Clade V, composed of Ebenaceae and Lissocarpaceae.
