- Abstract
The Cégep de Thetford was created in 1969 following the publication of the Rapport Parent. Its library contains a collection of rare books in which can be found traces of its past as a collège classique (classical college). With its 250 volumes, the collection illustrates the Christian values that the secular priests wished to instill to the students. It also demonstrates how predominant were the studies of letters, our French origins and religion in the education system in the 1950-1960s. Finally, the ex-libris, or bookplates, found inside certain books reveal the various networks open to the Collège classique de Thetford, also affiliated with the Université Laval.
