- Abstract
The article presents a study on the price of the ecosystem services and how it affects biofuel production, land use, and food prices. It uses the Emissions Prediction and Policy Analysis (EPPA) model and the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) economic data. Results show that the increase of biofuel demand will lead to increased carbon dioxide emission and the rising of land prices and agricultural technology will result to higher food prices.
