- Abstract
In summer 2010 the three-part series of "Sherlock" was transmitted on TV in Great Britain. It is a modern interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories. The setting is transferred to the United Kingdom of the 21st century. In the report the attention is paid to the interaction of the traditional literary reading of the Sherlock Holmes stories with a modern view on the spatial level. The artistic world of "Sherlock" is a modern and innovative interpretation of Conan Doyle's detective heritage in which basic elements of the Holmes world are maintained.
