The present paper discusses that judiciary plays an important role in influencing the various aspects of the administration and policy making process of the government. Our justice system is on the verge of collapse with more than three crores cases pending in the judiciary. It discusses that if justice delayed than it denied. Justice is something which should be dispensed as quick as possible otherwise it would be too late than people will be directly denied getting justice. There are many causes to delaying justice, i.e., lack of infrastructure to deal with the evidence, strength of judges is inadequate, incomplete of other staff in court, delay of the investigating agency and judicial corruption etc. it further discusses that speedy trial is an essential and integral part of the fundamental right to life and liberty enshrined in Art. 21. Speedy trial is the essence of criminal justice. Justice is of the fundamental importance that justice should not only be done but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done. The need of the hour for the government is that it should make an effort for the people for those who are connected with judiciary in their day to day life must feel their responsibility and not deprive the poor litigants who are waiting to get their cases dealt with immediately.
