The article discusses aspects of procedural criminal justice in the Netherlands. Topics discussed include efforts by the Dutch judiciary to obtain public acceptance of its functions and tasks in criminal justice administration by improving its relationship with the press, the principles of publicity and categories of legitimization, and the use of the press guidelines in promoting responsiveness and transparency.
