- Abstract
The article discusses the legal and institutional challenges for the efficacy of the management of transboundary pasture in Pamir and Pamir-Alai ecosystem. It explores the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2007 which gives the Central Asia with high vulnerability on the risk of land degradation due to climatic change. It says that the potential for conflict between pasture-users is increased by the transboundary pasture. Moreover, the lack of international agreements between Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic is hampering the transboundary management.
