- Title
A NEW FRAMEWORK FOR SEMANTICS.
- Authors
Horwich, Paul
- Abstract
The article discusses the new framework for semantics. It notes that the mainstream approach to semantics is truth-theoretic. However, there are some sceptics who arrive at their scepticism from an alternative perspective on truth-theoretic semantics which involve deflationism about truth and a use of theory of meaning. It also provides Jason Stanley's arguments on the alternative being proposed by the sceptics along with the respond to Stanley's line of thought.
