- Abstract
Compares the effects of a 24-h salinity challenge in water on plasma osmotic and ion homeostasis, swimming performance, and exercise respirometry in young-of-the-year Adriatic sturgeon (Acipenser maccarii) maintained in freshwater or acclimated to brackish water that was slightly hypertonic to sturgeon plasma. Effects of salinity challenge without exercise; Effects of salinity challenge on body mass, plasma osmotic homeostasis, and lactate concentration.
