The article discusses the Supreme Court of New York County, New York case People v. Crespo, in which detective Larry Maraj handcuffed defendant Jose Crespo in the matter of possession of drugs. Topics discussed include defendant's purported waiver of his Fourth Amendment and New York State constitutional rights in his act of "voluntarily" producing the drugs from his body. It mentions the U.S Supreme Court case Schmerber v. based on the issue of Fourth Amendment violations.
