- Abstract
The article discusses avian and chiropteran (bat) mortality as a result of wind farming practices in the U.S. as of March 2012, focusing on a debate over whether federal wind farm siting guidelines can assist in mitigating the negative impact of wind farming on the wildlife. Several U.S. statutes are examined in relation to wind farming, including the nation's Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.
