- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to develop an assay in detecting and differentiating porcine circovirus type 1 (PCV-1) and PCV-2. It states that a multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay was established to detect and differentiate PCV-1 and PCV-2 using SYBR Green I cyanine dye. Results show the possibility of differentiating PCV-1 with PCV-2 by analysing the genotype-specific PCR products' melting temperature.
