- Title
Defra consults on dangerous dogs.
- Abstract
The article reports on the need to toughen the legislation on dangerous dogs in England and Wales. According to Home Secretary Alan Johnson, the consultation on dangerous dogs would ask for the public opinion on introducing dog control notices, compulsory microchipping, and compulsory third-party insurance to financially compensate victims of dog attacks. It adds the government of Great Britain also plans to reform the sections of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
