The article critiques the tragedy "Samson Agonistes," by English poet John Milton. Topics discussed include the depiction of biblical character Samson in the play particularly his comparison to Jesus Christ, the significance and interpretation of the encounter between the characters Samson and Harapha, and the way the play focused on the mockery experienced by Samson which attacked his faith in God.
