The article describes various aspects of the enameled glass fragments that were recovered from the summit of Masada during the 1963-1965 excavations. Topics discussed include the origin and decorative scheme of the cups, their common theme which suggests a spring festival in Rome, and the provenance, glass color, motifs and base marks of some of the published decipherable enameled cups and fragments of the first century.
