- Title
ABSENCE OF THE RIGHT PULMONARY ARTERY.
- Authors
Morgan, Jacob R.
- Abstract
The findings in absence of the right pulmonary artery have been reviewed with presentation of two cases. The chest roentgenogram showed decreased volume of the right lung and shift of the mediastinum to the right. 133Radioactive Xenon ventilation-perfusion studies were shown to be useful by demonstrating ventilation but no perfusion in the right lung. Angiography is still essential to show absence of the right pulmonary artery. Surgery is technically possible.
