- Abstract
Lindqvist and Nordström claim that the authors of previous studies did not understand how the admission CTG should be used or how it should be assessed. These findings cannot support the conclusion drawn by Lindqvist and Nordström that the admission CTG is beneficial in high- and low-risk women. Lindqvist and Nordström explain away a solid body of research showing that the admission CTG is at best harmless with no beneficial effects and at worse harmful because it may increase unnecessary obstetric interventions.
