- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 37-year-old healthy woman who had an axillary web syndrome (AWS) or lymphatic cording after a node-positive breast cancer surgery in September 2006. It states that the woman noticed a tightening, visible cord that extends from her axilla to the antecubital fossa one week after the operation. The woman was then referred to a physiotherapy where she received moist heat to the axilla and inner arm for ten minutes per session.
