- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the status of monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) in primary cutaneous amyloidosis (PCA) tissues. It notes that an MCP-1-antibody was used for immunofluorescence microscopy and quantitative polymerse chain reaction (PCR) analysis was conducted in the study. It states that an impaired interleukin 31 (IL-31)- insensitive MCP-1 transcription in mutant type (MT) cells was observed and its production of MCP-1 can be attributed to STAT3 activation.
