Abstract
The article focuses on the Percy Thomas Partnership's interior design for the International Concert Hall in Birmingham, England. The architectural firm decided that the rectangular plan of various 19th-century halls would provide the best acoustics. The lower walls are made in Sardinian Grey and Balmoral Red granite with black banding. Meanwhile, the main wall surface will be polished plaster finished by Perucchetti of Chelsea.
