Abstract
The article announces the acquisition of the Stokesay Castle in Ludlow, England by the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission (HBMC) or the English Heritage. According to the second Annual Report and Accounts released by HBMC, the castle is an early medieval manorhouse, which will be opened to the public on the basis of its continued occupation by the late owners. It also estimates that the cost of the restoration of the building will reach £½ million.
