- Abstract
The author reflects on the results of a study by L. van Dussen and colleagues concerning the impact of taliglucerase alfa in the bone marrow responses of type 1 Gaucher's disease patients. He discusses how the study was conducted which involved the measurement of bone marrow fat fraction by quantitave shift imaging. The results reportedly revealed that taliglucerase alfa can lead to satisfactory increases in the bone marrow fat fraction that indicates clearance of Gaucher cells from the marrow.
