- Abstract
In the research, in which the 12th grade textbook was used as a material, the data collected through document analysis were analyzed by content analysis technique. As a result of the analysis, the factors that strengthen national unity and solidarity, Atatürk, the characteristics of the Turkish nation, democracy, Turkish women, Turkey's domestic and foreign policy, education, culture, art-sports and the importance given to science were determined. While it is seen that the concept of strengthening national unity is more emphasized among the elements that provide national unity and solidarity, it can be said that the concept of national unity is least emphasized. It was determined that Atatürk's principles and reforms were emphasized under the theme of Atatürk, national sovereignty under the theme of democracy, and the place and importance of Turkish women in the national struggle under the theme of Turkish women. It can be said that education serves the purpose of raising multi-faceted individuals who are good citizens who are loyal to the state, give importance to national unity and solidarity, are egalitarian, aware of the past and present of the country's world politics, and attach importance to education, culture and art.
